Who We Are . . . . . The People of La Mesa
Men's Groups: Tuesday Guys' breakfast fellowship group meets each Tuesday morning for breakfast and conversation. They also oversee church maintenance and upkeep of the property. The Men's Book Study Group is an evening study group that meets once a month to discuss books, timely articles and to share events in members lives.
Women's Groups: Yada Yadah Women's Group meets on the first Thursday of each month for a light dinner and a program that may include a book study, speakers, Bible study or discussion on a topic that is timely and of relevance. All women of the church are welcome. In addition to the Yada-Yadah Evening Study Group, there is a Luncheon Study Group and a Morning Study group. The luncheon and morning study groups meet from September through June at the church for study and discussion of the Bible and the Presbyterian Horizons yearly publication. They also participate in regional and national Presbyterian Women meetings. The WINE (Women In New Endeavors) is a luncheon fellowship group for women in the church who are alone and enjoy each other's company. The group meets the third Tuesday of every month at individual's homes or at a restaurant.
Movie Night: Several times throughout the year, a Friday evening movie is shown as a way of celebrating our community and enjoying fellowship. Participants bring treats to share and discussions are held around various themes of the particular movie.
