Rev Trey Hammond Rev. Trey Hammond has been the senior pastor at La Mesa Presbyterian Church since 1999. Prior to that, he served for three years on the national staff of the Presbyterian Church (USA) as the Coordinator for Urban Ministry. He began his ministry in Dallas, Texas, where he served three different urban congregations for a total of fifteen years. He received his divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago and has a master's degree in environmental science from the University of Texas at Dallas. Trey is the president and founding board member of the Albuquerque Opportunity Center, which provides services to help men exit homelessness. He has been involved with homeless and affordable housing efforts all through his twenty-five years of ministry. Trey also currently serves as the co-chair of Albuquerque Interfaith, which is a faith based community organizing effort. He continues to serve as a consultant for the Presbyterian Hunger Program of the PC (USA). |
